I had only known Matt a little over a year and yet I have this growing feeling that he left a greater impact on me than I thought. Matt was someone who always knew how to make me smile, maybe because we had a very similar sense of humor. Although he must have been unhappy, I always saw him as a very fun, stable guy. What I loved most about Matt, was that he never once judged me or other people; like he knew that the world was messed up but he always saw the good in people. He liked the outcasts and those that didn't follow the norm. I had not seen Matt for several months and always wondered what he was up to, and if he was being safe. Today, I feel sad because maybe if I had visited him every now and then and just talked to him, he would still be here. We definitely lost a great spirit when we lost Matt, and my condolences go out to all his beautiful family.
