Obituary

Akira Omachi, age 84, beloved husband of Chiyoko, nee Maeda, loving father of Teresa and Robert; loving grandfather of Christopher; fond brother of the late Henry Takashi, Fumiko Hoteida, and Tomoko Sugano; brother-in-law of Mitsuo (Beverly) Maeda and Michiko Okuda; dear uncle of many nieces and nephews. Born and raised in Sacramento, California, Akira resided in Wilmette, IL for many years, taught in the Dept. of Physiology and Biophysics, University of Ill. College of Med. and retired as a Professor Emeritus. Memorial Service on Sunday, May 6, 3 PM, Ravenswood Fellowship United Methodist Church, 4511 Hermitage Ave., Chicago. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, Greater Illinois Chapter, 4709 Golf Road, Suite 1015, Skokie, IL 60076.
