Dan used work for me, and then he worked with me. I just wanted to forward a note stating that he was one of the kindest, most thoughtful people. My own father died last year and Dan, who I had not spoken with for several years, sent me a wonderful note that truly helped ease my pain. Beyond being a very special person, he was perhaps the hardest working person I have ever met. I have supervised many people in my 23 year here, but no one who worked harder. What a wonderful son you raised…

I worked with Dan many years ago, when I was new to AT&T (then SBC). He always took the time to make sure I understood what was being discussed in meetings, and always provided cheerful replies to what had to have been inane questions. I am saddened to hear of his passing, and will keep his family in my thoughts and prayers. “And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.” (Phil. 4:7).

Dan is one of the nicest persons I have worked with. Dan is always available to support the teams, very pleasing in approach with a positive and can do attitude. Dan is missed by everyone who have worked with him at least once.

Galvin Family,

I wanted to provide you with my deepest sympathy and condolences. I had the pleasure of working with Dan at AT&T for the last 14 years. Dan was not only a complete professional at all times, but a great person, teammate, and gentlemen. He touched many lives and will be missed by so many people. I feel very fortunate to have had a chance to work with Dan, and get to know him. I know so many others at AT&T feel the same way.

I can’t even begin to understand the pain that your entire family must be feeling at this time. In the coming weeks, months, and years, I hope that your pain is eased as you remember and celebrate Dan’s life.

Sincerely,

Joseph Ortbals

Dan was a manager in my organization for 2 years. During that time, he was a person we could count on to do a great job. Not only was he a great manager, he was even a better person. He was friendly, personable, caring, and thoughtful of others needs. He will be missed.

To the Family of Daniel R. Galvin Jr.

I only knew Dan from conference calls and online chat sessions. Unfortunately it has been some time since we last spoke but I fondly remember Dan to be upbeat with a cynical side and very personable. I am very saddened to hear the news of Dan’s passing and our prayers go out to the Galvan family.

Peace be with your family.

Message : I will always remember Dan's infectious personality and his wonderful smile. He was such a great friend, and co-worker at the Chicago Specialty Co. where, he walked in the door and needed to be taken to the personnel dept., which was all the way across a warehouse and assembly area. I was the lucky one who was chosen to take him on this little journey, which instantly turned into a wonderful friendship. We had so much fun singing together, but we could never be successful at dancing. And, Dan was such a great dancer. I blame that on my two left feet. Dan, I will miss you so much, but I'll have all those wonderful memories of laughter, singing and trying to dance with each other. May you be at peace. Love you always,

Penny

I was associated with AT&T for 3 years and during those years, I used to interact with Dan Galvan almost every week. He is one of the finest people I have worked with. He was always there when we needed his help and expertise. I am shocked and deeply saddened to hear the news of his passing and my heartfelt condolences to Dan Galvan's family.

Though I never met Dan in person, I worked with him for the past 7 years via phone and email. Over that time, I found Dan to be very personable, knowledgeable, and always willing to lend a helping hand. I was stunned to learn of his passing. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. I will miss Dan and his camaraderie.
